Ever since I can remember, I’ve loved listening to people’s stories. When I was a child, my mom called me “the visitor” because I’d run off most days to visit whatever elder neighbor would have me.
The homes on the small lane where I grew up in the San Francisco East Bay were mostly occupied by an older generation. I’ve always been interested in people, stories, and creativity.
In the early 1990s, I started my media career in the fast-paced, exciting, and deadline-driven world of major daily newspapers. I also earned my degree in psychology. My newspaper career lasted thirteen years, during which I held leadership roles on the production-graphics side, prepress.
In 2008, I had the opportunity to reinvent my path and stepped into my current passion as a Values-Based Storytelling Guide. As a young person, I never could have imagined how the core skills I developed in early adulthood would intersect; now I blend my background in psychology, leadership experience, and the graphics and technical skills from my early career.
Being the daughter of an artist and a mobile tech pioneer, I am inspired to help others creatively tell their stories through technology. Since 2008, I have been gently guiding people to connect with their true essence and skillfully capture it on video.
Over the years, I’ve refined my listening skills, as I am a natural at deeply connecting with others. I help people craft the stories that matter most to them. My clients include families, professionals, individuals, and organizations that value the power of story.
What excites me these days is helping people discover the transformative power of personal storytelling through workshops and retreats. My focus is mainly on spoken-word stories, so people daunted by writing love my process.
I am an innovator, recognized by The New York Times, USA TODAY, WIRED, and others for bringing ethical will and legacy storytelling to the masses through an interview-style format. This was achieved via the co-creation of StoryCatcher® for iPhone, launched in 2013. For nearly ten years and running, our app has helped thousands capture and share their most cherished stories on video.
For fun, I enjoy riding my mountain bike, trekking in the High Sierra, and exploring the mysteries of the human spirit and condition.
Ultimately, our stories are what connect and bind us, today and into the future. What’s your story?

With almost 20 years of experience, my passion for photography has led me to focus on capturing real, unposed moments that tell genuine stories. My journey into documentary-style photography began after a family vacation to Australia, where an attempt at a family photo shoot turned into a stressful ordeal. This experience ignited my desire to document memories exactly as they are—without pretending.
I’m committed to giving you an experience-first approach that allows you and your loved ones to be exactly who you are. As a mom, I know that with young kids, things don’t always go to plan. My goal is to capture the love and laughter, not the stress of getting the “perfect” shot.
Beyond family photography, I also specialize in Maternity, Boudoir, Seniors, and Commercial photography, including Headshots. Each session is tailored to celebrate and highlight the unique beauty and story of my clients. Whether it’s the anticipation of a new arrival, the empowerment of a boudoir session, or crafting a professional narrative, I aim to create images that are both meaningful and timeless.
Photography isn’t just my profession; it’s my passion. Let’s create something beautiful together. Visit my gallery to see more of my work and get inspired.
This isn’t just storytelling. This is your story, curated.
Whether you’re gifting this to a parent, preparing something lasting for your children, or celebrating a milestone, this is a way to make sure your family’s story doesn’t fade—it’s remembered, seen, and shared.
