Essential Edit

Once our interview day is complete, the media is lightly edited, to tighten it up, with color enhancements applied to make sure the finished video(s) view beautifully. I define chapter markers through the full length of the captured interview(s) to make it easier for you to navigate the different snippets you may want to view at any given time. I also add screen text, spelling out names and dates of pertinent historical information mentioned during the interview(s). 

Additionally, I add up to 10 Historical Photo/Document overlays to the captured interview media. These images are selected and supplied by you via hard copy or shared digitally with me via Dropbox. You may choose to add more photos or swap out images during the review phase. I perform basic clean up and enhancement of each image and then place it along the interview timeline, as appropriate.

One proof cycle is included. The proof is reviewed at your convenience via an online private link. All changes are to be supplied back to me in one document within ten days of receiving the private proof link. Additional photos beyond the included 5-10 are added at a per-photo rate. More changes beyond the one included proof cycle will incur additional per-hour fees at my standard hourly rate.

Mini-Doc Edit

When the Highlight Package has been chosen, it accompanies the Interview Package. In addition to everything in The Essential Edit, I custom edit selected stories and photos (plus add music) into a 20-minute finished mini-documentary. We discuss desired topics/stories to include before and after the interviews have been captured. In the editing booth, I add custom graphics, your historical photos, screen text captions, and royalty free music from my library, as warranted. This process can take anywhere from three to six months total. The finished product is a priceless heirloom gift to be cherished by all. Now and by future generations.
